RESUMEN
O (Objetivo): Evaluar si una vía local (Luton CES pathway) mejora el tiempo a RM en sospecha de síndrome de cauda equina (CES) en hospitales generales (DGH).
R (Resultados): Reducción del tiempo mediano a RM de 8h48min a 34min (p<0.001); cumplimiento del objetivo <4h aumentó de 66% a ~90%; disminución >50% en traslados fuera de horario.
T (Técnica/Tipo de estudio): Estudio retrospectivo comparativo (2018 vs 2024) tras implementación de vía clínica estructurada.
O (Outcome clínico): Mejora significativa en acceso a RM y eficiencia asistencial; menor necesidad de derivación urgente.
MICRO (Mensaje clínico): Optimizar recursos existentes (RM en horario laboral + circuitos claros) permite cumplir estándares nacionales sin requerir RM 24/7.
